"When I was a child all I wanted was to be a farmer,
just like my father.
As I stood looking out over the mountains with my father one day, it was with a heavy heart that he explained how farming had become a luxury.
I can only imagine how difficult that moment was - for the fourth generation to tell the fifth. My father was worried about the economic sustainability of working the land; worried about the future of our family.
From that moment I made a decision. If farming in New Zealand wasn't sustainable for my generation, I'd make sure it was for the next.
You could say that was when The New Zealand Luxury Group was born.
